Damsel in distress

Night #2

The rather noticeable lady that was previously tied up was carried back to the hostel by our party. Madge Madgerson owner of the Hostel of the Sacred Stone immediately recognizes Eludecia “Lucy” and helps the party get her to the holy relics in his hostel. After being healed she tells them of her tale of how she became a Succubus Paladin she asks the group to find her gauntlets so she can once again wield holy weapons.

The group are declared heroes and Madge declares that they are always welcome and shall never have to pay for any service that he can give them for saving Eludecia.

After some fatherly advice from Zook Raulnor about the wisdom of accepting tasks from unknown ladies and willingly put magical feathers in temples after removing kobolds from the area (as well as getting paid only after the job is done) he agrees to descend back into the aquaduct to help retrieve Eludecia’s gauntlets. He bows out of the whole removing the kobold infestation though.

Some kobolds whom followed the party carrying Eludecia’s body and watched her return to health claimed to know whom knew where the gauntlets where. They led them to the kobold chieftain. The party negotiated the chieftain down to get the information about where the gauntlets resided. After walking through a door that turned willing participants into kobolds half the party wend forward in kobold form and half remained human. The humans found they had terrible luck find trap after trap and eventually decided that being a kobold wasn’t so bad after all.

The direction the chieftain sent the party was blocked by a door with an image of the beholder engraved in it. The central eye of the beholder was closed and 10 eye stalks with gems embedded gazed down a 25 food long hallway. After Varra elequantly tried to convince the party they were not ready to try to get through the door and a 10 foot section of wall distentrated behind William Worthington II it was decided they were missing a piece of this puzzle. After explaining their adventures so far to Zook, it was identified that the eyes in other carving that shot rays also were made of gems. The party back tracked to acquire the gems. Unfortunately it was noticed by Moira that Chieftain Blad was wearing one of the jewels they need in his eye patch. The party was also relieved that when they walked back through the Kobold Doorway they returned to their natural form.

The night ended with finding the 5th of the 10 jewels they needed in an secret doorway.

The quests to become more crunchy

Night #1

After a significant mount of time spend getting everything organized by the GM it is established that the players attended an career fair and were talked into becoming dragon slayers or at the very least dragon morsels.

The Silverback Dragon Slayers lead by the grizzled old Garflin Silverback recently had 7 members. Their ranks now only had four after their last encounter. It was decided that four new people would adequately fill the ranks assuming they were properly attired and trained. The existing members of the Silverbacks are Garflin Silverback (leader), Zook Raulnor (Siege Engineer), Syll (Wizard), and Caland (Cleric). Varra has joined as the new “meat shield”. She does not seem to appreciate the connotation though. Gwyna Wildfire has joined at the new tracker. Moira has joined to defend against the insane creatures that always seem to try to defend the dragons. Finally William Worthington II’s mother wanted him to be a doctor. Fortunately he was able to convert all that knowledge she forced him to learn about the body and figure out how best to defeat someone. Unfortunately he has an adversion to blood so he learned magic to prevent it from getting all over him.

To get the party up to speed Garflin Silverback assigned Zook Raulnor to take the new recruits to their favorite smith to get better equipment. They did not know whom their next dragon to face would be and they didn’t want to waste time training people that didn’t survive the first encounter. On the way there Zook stopped at one of his favorite haunts. He doesn’t know why but sitting in front of the fire place with a couple of beers here is better than any place he has ever been before.

While at the Hostel of the Shadow Stone Varra is approached by a woman asking her to help rid a shrine of kobolds. Varra not really interested in money and not impressed by kobolds turns her down. So the same lady impresses William Worthington II to take the job for 10,000 gp. He convinced the rest of the party to proceed and they leave the comforts of the Hostel and descend into the aqueduct where the lady says the holy shrine resides.

Immediately after leaving the Hostel 4 starved kobolds attempt to flee the party by making their presence known by shooting hand crossbows. The kobolds had been looking through the trash by the back entrance of the Hostel. After quickly dispatching the kobolds it was noted that no one had any form of healing, but with the thought of getting the drop on the kobolds the party pushed on.

Varra encountered a trap while descending the service latter into the aqueduct and fell into the lake. This alerted the kobolds in the lake vicinity that they had company. A fight ensued and the party came to respect one of the kobolds as a far better than average fighter.

Gwyna Wildfire discovered a journal with some pretty disturbing writings and keywords in it. It also had a picture of a door with the clue “The Number of Eyes is Key”.

The party proceeded down the aqueduct to find a silver skeleton, that they had recently heard stories about, floating in the air just past a passage with images of beholders with jeweled eyes carved in the wall. The skeleton was inside an gelatinous cube that Gwyna Wildfire felt wasn’t quite right from her knowledge of these creatures. After Varra is consumed the party quickly dispatches both cubes and sighs in relief until they notice that the skeleton has grown a substantial amount of flesh since the cube she was encased in was dispatched. By the time Varra is able to move the skeleton is completely skinned although still unconscious. during the skinning process William Worthington II ties up what eventually becomes a very beautiful woman.

Welcome to your Adventure Log!
A blog for your campaign

Every campaign gets an Adventure Log, a blog for your adventures!

While the wiki is great for organizing your campaign world, it’s not the best way to chronicle your adventures. For that purpose, you need a blog!

The Adventure Log will allow you to chronologically order the happenings of your campaign. It serves as the record of what has passed. After each gaming session, come to the Adventure Log and write up what happened. In time, it will grow into a great story!

Best of all, each Adventure Log post is also a wiki page! You can link back and forth with your wiki, characters, and so forth as you wish.

One final tip: Before you jump in and try to write up the entire history for your campaign, take a deep breath. Rather than spending days writing and getting exhausted, I would suggest writing a quick “Story So Far” with only a summary. Then, get back to gaming! Grow your Adventure Log over time, rather than all at once.
